Materials Used
The materials used are a mix of things I already had, new and thrifted textiles, and other odds-and-ends.

The Tail
The tail is made from 5mm EVA foam and was made using this pattern from Tiffany Gordon Cosplay
Once the base shape of the tail was done, I added a nylon webbing strap for the belt and went about drafting a pattern for a fabric covering (coming soon, I still need to digitize it). I used 2 different colored spandex fabrics for the tail which I then painted with fabric paint and markers and airbrushed to add depth and color to. I also designed some SVG files to cut iridescent vinyl from and ironed them onto the tail to add some extra detail to the finished prop.
The Outfit
The Shirt
The base shirt is made from some leftover black costume satin I had from another project. I cut the KDA shirt graphic out of iridescent iron on and applied it to the front of the shirt. The sleeves and hood of the garment are pieces from a white hoodie that I thrifted and upcycled. I threaded blue and pink ribbon through the drawstring channel to replace the default hoodie draw strings. The sports bra underneath also features the KDA logo around the main bottom band of the garment.
The Pants and Shoes
The leggings are a pair of thrifted leggings that I cut to match the character design. I 3D printed the diamond on the thigh piece and made a strap out of pleather scrap. The diamond was attached with E6000 and the garter is held in place while wearing using double sided body tape.
The shoes are a pair of thrifted heels that I swapped the laces out in for blue and pink ribbons.
The Waist Wrap
The waist wrap is made from a plaid print polar fleece material. I sewed a channel for the nylon webbing belt to pass through to make it seamless. There was no real pattern followed for this – I draped and pinned the fabric in place and then sewed it as I went to construct the garment.
The Belt
The belt is made from 3D printed beads and a mid-weight jewelry wire to make it stay in shape even as I’m walking around and moving/posing for pictures.
I printed the beads out of PLA and painted them with a chrome finish spray paint. They attach to the waist wrap with safety pins from the inside of the garment.
